VPN connection PPTP not working

Hi,

 

I have the 5G Home Broadband, using the Sagecome Fast 5866T.

I can't access to my employer VPN as, my IT found, TPG have blocked GRE packets to a PPTP VPN.

 

TPG, is there a way to provide this PPTP exception so I can work from Home? Thank you.

Hi @pgalland . Has the VPN been working on 5G before and has suddenly stopped working?

Or, have you just now switched from NBN to 5G and found that the VPN does not work?

Thanks a lot.

 

So internet in 5G is well working, only login to VPN is an issue.

Also I just changed from "Telstra 5G" to "TPG 5G" , Telstra 5G had no issues to access VPN (Telstra was just super expensive with limited data....).

 

The same VPN connection works when I hotspot-it with phone (Optus 4G) or go to a NBN, so this is really a protocole issue with the TPG 5G home broadband.

 

My IT helpdesk is pretty good, they found the issue was the GRE packets not possible with the PPtP configuration of the office server VPN that is not accepted by TPG.

 

I hope that help, my understanding is that my case is in TPG hands Smiley Happy
