Why is my sync speed hard set

Every single time I reboot my modem I get the exact same speed on the sync?
Why is it hard set on the NBN Node?

Hi @eng1970,

The Sync Speed of 47Mbps is considered passing for NBN50. Please understand that acutal throughput speeds may be slower and could vary due to many factors including type/source of content being downloaded, hardware and software configuration, the number of users simultaneously using the network and performance of interconnecting infrastructure not operated by TPG.

Regards,

Hi @eng1970

The connection speed that you'll receive from the NBN FTTN service will depend on the quality and distance of the copper cable from your premises to the node.

Currently, the sync or connection speed that the device is receiving is currently the best that you can get.

If you are looking to get more speed, then you may check the offer of the NBN Co in changing the technology in your location/premises.

Refer to this link: NBN technology choice program

Please note that the discussion will be between you and NBN Co as there might be fees involve.

Stay safe.
