Wifi not working

Have taken power off on router a few times as per instructions on web. Have plugged laptop directly into router LAN works fine. Wireless internet does not appear at all on laptops or mobile phones.

Is wifi enabled on the router? What strength is it set to?

Can your mobiles detect your router when they scan? Is the external aerial securely attached?

Has the wifi security on the router changed?
