account cancellation

Hi,

 

I rung customer serverice to cancell my account two days ago and just to be safe I asked is there any fee involved, the representitive told me there is no fee at all. so I put my requrest in via email and termination date is 27/08/2020. 

 

Confirmation email revicved on 27/8/2020, and I have been told in email I need to give 30 days notice in advance and my account has been closed. the remainning balance has been taken away from my credit card which I do not think I should pay.

 

I do not understand what kind of terms is that, this is totally unacceptable. TPG you are ripping people off, my contract finished with you long time ago, why should I give you 30 days notice, why no one told me such thing when I called.

Cost for service during 30 day notice period: $56.63
 - Less paid-up credit on current service: $40.64
 - Total amount to be debited: $15.99

 

I need these money back.

Thanks for raising this to us. We're sad to know that you're considering to cancel the service with us. 

TPG Standard Terms and Conditions that explains in Section 12.1 the 30 days cancellation period.

We will raise this to our Account Specialists Team for additional details on the ongoing cancellation of the account. Expect them to provide you an update via SMS or Phone call when update becomes available via SMS or Phone call .

Hi There,

 

What is result now. I have been sending emails to adsl_cancel@tpg.com.au. There is a reply on 31/08, then no further email or actions.
