We also have a delay of about 8 seconds on the incoming connection.
After the ring tones and picking up the phone, we do not hear a connection from the person that rings us for about 8 seconds.
We used to have this type of delay when we received calls from computer dialers.
We must have missed a few calls when we do not hear anything for about 8 seconds.
Please advise if there is a solution.
Hi @1hubert,
Welcome to the Community!
I've located your account using your Community details and have since ran remote tests. There's no evident line fault that can be service affecting however we'd still like to look into this further.
I understand that this is a brand new router supplied by TPG. Have you ever experienced the same issue on the old one? Have you performed any troubleshooting steps so far?
I will perform a reset on the connection which will disconnect your internet but it should come back on after a few minutes. Kindly restart both the NTD (Arris box) and router then test if the same issue occurs.
If the issue still persists, please provide us with your best contact time & number via private message so we can arrange one from our Technical team to assist you.
Thanks!

your technician has been optimistic.
Soon after his two calls (with minimal delay) I received calls with the 8-10 seconds delay of the caller's voice.
Could it have caused by the type of phone I use?
I have the model T1000S phones.
Is there a better phone that TPG can recommend?
Please advise.
I will continue with the current modem/phone and will see if there is an improvement down the rack.
Kind Regards,
Hubert
Hi @1hubert,
I think it is also best if you can try another handset. Not recommending any brand so long as it's going to work with the modem at hand.
Let us know how it goes.
Cheers!
