Double checking NBN broadband 50 plan

SOLVED Go to solution

I haven't been able to get a clear answer from research, but I wanted to know if the NBN broadband 50 $80 p/m plan which I'm currently on includes any capacity for making outbound calls from my landline. I recently got my modem repaired and wanted to make sure it's working as intended.

At the moment my landline can receive calls but can't make outbound calls except for TPG itself.

Can you try the NBN Home Phone Account section?

Hi @mhasemore . If you can receive calls and call TPG, you are configured for VOIP. If you are on $0 PAYG plan, you have to make a pre-payment  to make any call apart from 000, 1800 and TPG itself. You make a pre-payment via MyAccount.   Any error message when you try to make a call?

No error message for the phone, just the "engaged" ringtone, so I'm guessing that's the $0 PAYG thing. I can't find the pre-payment options in My Account, nor can I find information about plan details that tells me how long this prepayment lasts, etc., which is why I'm asking here.

We can check it out, @mhasemore.

Can you send me a DM?

@mhasemore . In My Account, look for :
NBN Digital Voice Services
View NBN Digital Voice Service Account

Then:   NBN Digital Voice Tools
Then:   Add Prepaid Balance

The prepaid balance lasts until you use it up (not a monthly thing).

NBN Digital Voice Services is not an option that I can see in My Account.

I've attached a screenshot of what I can see.
