Home phone not working after FTTP upgrade

Saw this question plenty of times and seem like it requires activation by technical support.

Home phone has stopped working since the FTTP connection is activated. Called my home number and it says the call could not be connected at this time - OCA0188.  Online chatted and did what the customer service representative asked to do/check but the phone is still not working.  Logged onto the modem router and it says on the screen something like the phone service is not available, so it seems like the phone service is not activated with the new FTTP connection.

Hi @jolai1 . Does your FTTP NBN box have UNI-V ports or not?

If it does, is one of the UNI-V lights on?

Did TPG say which UNI-V port to connect your phone to?

Let's get your landline back up and running ASAP, @jolai1.

Send me a PM and we'll check out what's happening.

Thanks @david64 , yes the FTTP NBN box does have UNI-V ports and initially TPG support had asked to connect the phone to one of the UNI-V ports.  No dial tone at all after connected so the support had asked to connect the phone to the modem router.  There was then a long dial tone but when trying to call the number, it gave the call could not be connected message.
