Phone calls via computer

Hi all, is there something I can install that will enable my home phone calls to be answered via my compuer (softphone app). I'm working from home and cant run a cord from the modem in the kitchen to the office

Currently TPG do not offer a softphone app. Your phone handset will need to be connected to you phone port on the modem.

You can use a cordless phone. Depends on distance between kitchen and router. Be careful of interference between phone and router's wifi.

For the NBN bundled with VoIP plan, the handset still needs to be connected to the phone port of the TPG provided modem/router.

Note: The VoIP service will not work using a third party modem/router under the same plan.
