I too would like to update my Archer VR1699v V2 modem
It currently says
Firmware is 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 200810 Rel.53181n
and hardware Archer VR1600v v2 00000000
I assumed I could just get an update file and point the modem at it, but I've searched everywhere to no avail, and I have the impression from some of the answers herein that you do it remotely?

Firmware updates are done remotely hence we require users to send their account details. However, looking at your current firmware details, it appears you already have the latest version.
