Connecting NBN FTTB and Netgear AC2600

I have purchased a Netgear Nighthawk X4S. AC2600 Model 7800.

Firmware: 1.0.1.56.

Have connected phone line directly from wall socket into vdsl port, bypassing the NBN model and TPLink router all together.

Once on the Netgear admin page, i select to configure automatically but fails.
