D-Link AC2300 compatible with FTTN?

Just curious if the d-link ac2300 modem is compatible with a FTTN connection, I wish to replace the standard TP-Link modem (gets hot and has started to go yellow on the plastic), I have tried various settings with no connection, even been throught this community and tried settings for similar modems. It seems it wants to only connect via the WAN socket and not the DSL socket - acting only as a router not a modem)

Plugged the standard modem back in and it connected in a couple of minutes

Hi @Knap24 . Is this a DSL 3890?

You have to set WAN Access Type to VDSL.

Other settings PPPoE, username + @tpg.com.au and password.

Enable VLAN ID and set to 2.

These are shown in the user manual from D-Link.

Yes that's the one....as I've already said, I've tried those settings....and yes I've read the manual.

@Knap24 . If you have changed your plan to BYO router data only plan, VLAN ID is not used.

Haven't changed anything...the "modem" doesn't even recognise that there's any internet to connect to...I might just take it back
