Get online support
G'day S.Davey,
I've just signed up with TPG and have a Edgerouter X (ERX).
I followed your steps at:
https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Steps-I-used-to-connect-Ubiquiti-EdgeRouterX-to-T...
but I couldn't get it to work.
So this is all I did to get it to work on TPG FTTP.
Note: I do have a follow up question below (purpose for this message)
1: wizards
2. Basic Setup
3. PPPoE
4. Put my TPG account name and password
5. I did NOT tick VLAN
6. Save and presto the internet is working.
My question is that I believe it should be a VLAN but when I ticked it, it didn't work. Admittedly I did not know the VLAN ID (maybe thats why VLAN didn't work. Do you know the VLAN ID?).
So the question from me is: how does it work without VLAN ticked.
I have FTTP.
thanks
Sam
Hi @samrusso17
Welcome to the Community!
As you've advised that you are under the TPG NBN FTTP service, there's no need to set your device to have the VLAN ID. The VLAN ID is required for NBN FTTN/B, HFC, FTTC.
For the FTTP, you just need a router only device and configure it with PPPoE for it to work.
You may further check the information in https://www.nbnco.com.au/.
