Get online support
Hi @wes68
Welcome to the Community!
Your TP-Link modem's firmware is already the latest for an NBN service.
Can you clarify what you're trying to accomplish with portforwarding? And what sort of error are you getting as this could just be a settings issue. Rest assured that it's not a block from our end.
Regards,
i want to open many ports from internet to my house connection.
I have worked in IT and networks for many years as part of my role as Project Manager.
Attached is screen shot from router. I have seen routers misbehave before.
I want to update my router to latest firmware to ensure the best possible performance from it.
i understand that your it support need to do this due to encryption associated with voip. Please get this done.
Hi @wes68,
Thanks for posting additional details. As advised above, we do not block any ports, is there any specific reason for the request to open ports?
As an added info, please note that blocking of Torrent and some streaming websites are mandated by the Federal Court of Australia and all internet service providers are ordered to comply. For your reference, please see this link: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-12-15/federal-court-orders-pirate-bay-blocked-in-australia/8116912.
Kindly inform us if we could be of further assistance.
Cheers!
I use torrents to distribute my own content.
I have web&other servers/services that i want to expose internet.
As you can see from my screen shots i have set them up correctly, however nothing is working.
I have seen this due to bugs or errored router software.
Please advise a real solution.
Hi @wes68
We do not restrict torrent services except for those which we are required to block by law due to copyright infringement.
The screenshot you posted above looks correct for Port Forward Configuration. No reason it shouldn't work. Let us know should you require further assistance.
Cheers!
Hi @wes68, your modem has the latest firmware.
We recommend having a read of this community article, which can help you with your other query:

Thank you.
Hi Riezi,
I have read provided link in trying to get port fwding working. Nothing special there. Exactly same setting as my router. Please look at my screen shots above in this string.
Please confirm which interface i should be using;
pppoe_ptm_2_0_d
pppoe_8_35_1_d
ewan_pppoe

Hi @wes68,
The first option should work in opening the ports that you require.
You may also try the other 2 options if it will work for you.
Kind regards,
