Is the 2.4 GHz indicator on?
The 5 GHz wifi band might be disabled in the router. What model number is it?

david64 might be correct. You may check the modem/router if there's any button for the 5GHz band network.
You may see it on the side or top part of the hardware.
If none, you can access the modem interface and enable it there.
