ADSL or Phone Socket

My landline has separated into two - one for ADSL socket and the other for Phone socket.

My question: My new NBN router (Archer VR1600v) should be connected to the Phone socket on the wall or the ADSL wall socket?

Thanks.

Hi @buddhistman,

Welcome to TPG Community!

We have located the account using your community details. We can see that your TPG NBN FTTN service is scheduled to be installed on 11-06-2019.

NBN Fibre to the Node (FTTN) is a way of delivering access to fast broadband by running fibre-optic cable to a neighbourhood node/cabinet and from there using the existing copper network to the end-user premises.

Your modem should be directly connected to the first telephone socket and your telephone handset should be connected to the modem (TP Link VR 1600v) phone 1 port.

Here's a guide on how you can set up the equipment and where to plug the telephone handset once the service is installed:

Where to plug in your telephone handset with NBN?
