Hi,

Does anyone set up TP-Link archer ax50 to NBN HFC successful without the modem provided?

Welcome to the community!

As long as it a VDSL modem/router it should be compatibly, just follow the settings below.

• Put a check on the VLANID then set it to 2.
• Enter your TPG Username and password 
• The "Internet IP address" should be set to automatic/Dynamic.
• The transfer mode and DSL mode should be VDSL2/VDSL. (If needed)
• Multiplexing method should be LLC-Based (if available after you changed the mode to VDSL).
• Encapsulation should be PPPoE.

Note: VoIP feature will only work using our supplied modem.
