we've been told that NBN is coming to ACACIA GARDENS in Sydney in early October. I put in my request straight away in July but have heard nothing more. Is there any further information on timing available. Had enough og my barely existent ADSL

IMO. You can try to re-check the availability of NBN on your location. http://tpg.com.au/nbn or https://www.nbnco.com.au/. If it shown still not available you can contact NBN co directly.

Thanks for Pre-Ordering TPG NBN with us in July. The good news is you don't have too much longer to wait, the current ETA for NBN coming to your address is tomorrow 6th October! Tomorrow your plan change to NBN will kick off, and you'll recieve updates from us by email and SMS about your NBN install appointment. While your install is in progress, you can track how it's going at https://www.tpg.com.au/install
