Old phone connection adaptor

Hi team.
Due to get nbn installed Thursday. We have those old big yellow phone points however have an existing adaptor to RJ12 (I think it is) so our current ADSL can work.
Do I need an additional adaptor or will this one work.

Regards,
John

Hi @Srrobertson

You don't need an additional adaptor as your NBN modem/router will be connected directly to your wall socket given that the technology is under NBN FTTN (Fibre to the Node).

Once the NBN is installed and activated, the ADSL service will be disconnected.

Hi @BasilDV, thank you.
We are getting FTTC and not FTTN.
Tpg info says we need and adaptor and I wanted to know if what we have we can use or not.

I see.

You may refer to the setup here: NBN Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) Setup Guide.

You don't need an adapter, but an NBN NCD box. If it's still not installed in the premises, then an NBN technician visit is required to install it.

This suggests we plug it into an rj12 socket (i think), but we don't have these. All we have are the old blocks with an rj12 adapter in it.
I need to know if this the adaptor tpg talk about.

Hi @Srrobertson

I'd like to check your location and account in order to check on what service class you are in.

Shoot me a PM with your TPG username or customer ID number along with a picture of the adapter that you are referring to.
