My home phone number was not ported by tpg. I am paying both telstra to keep the line active eventhough I am not using it and its been 2 months and tpg still have not ported my number. They keep on telling me a representative will look into it and get back to me in 48hrs. Its been 2 months! HELP!

Hi, I was trying to set up the internet and home phone number for my elderly relative. The internet seems fine we're just getting a longer cable to set it up. However the home phone porting has been overly complicated and we've had to reach out 4 times and it's still not working.

We keep getting given incorrect numbers and being told it's too hard or it's not active and then proving it is active by ringing it while on the phone.

It's getting to the point where my relative wants to cancel the whole thing due to the stress. We have had the number for over 20 years and we do not want to change it.

This really needs to be fixed asap.
