Block Mobile for a few days

I need to remotely block my child's phone use for a few days. Can I do this online by suspending the mobile for a few days? I'm not looking to stop payment, just stop his access for a few days. 

Is there anyway I can do this without killing the SIM and ordering a new one?

The TPG mobile service does not allow you to suspend your service like an Internet ADLS plan but you can downgrade your plan to serve the same purpose as suspending.
