New contract without Australian number

Hello, I have moved from the UK to Australia, and I’m trying to get a sim only contract however I am required to enter an Australian number (which I don’t currently have). Is it possible to register for a sim only contract without an Australian phone number? Thank you

@zakthomas . Do you have a local friend you can use as a contact number?
Or, buy a brand X SIM from a store. They will insert it and check the connection to their network.

Within the month, apply for TPG SIM card. Use your X number as contact. TPG will mail the SIM card to your address.
