Hi @kymyeates
Thanks for reaching out.
Have you checked the WLAN settings under the Home Network tab when upon accessing the modem interface?
You may check this article for the guide on how to access the modem interface.
Let us know how it goes.

Hi @kymyeates . This is from an iiNet article on the HG659:
If you’re in the Home Network settings (not the Start Wizard)
make sure Security mode is set to WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK with
TKIP+AES WPA encryption.
https://help.iinet.net.au/sites/default/files/2019-12/QSG_Huawei_HG659_WEB_1.pdf
You would hope that the router would choose the more secure method WPA2/AES instead of TKIP method.
"TKIP is no longer considered secure, and is now deprecated. In other words, you shouldn't be using it. AES is a more secure encryption protocol introduced with WPA2. "
You should check the firmware level of your router. This is from a recent post.
"The recent firmware version for the Huawei HG659 should be V100R001C216B113."
