Over the last month speeds have slowed we use to get consistent 50mbps now lucky to get 40mbps.
Plus you can never test your actual speed on the TPG app.
Time to look around

No need to look elsewhere. How many devices are currently connected to your home WIFI? When too many devices share the same bandwidth, data flow is limited and result in slower speeds across each user or device.

Thank you Angeli for your response.
My download has been 52 to 50 mbps uploads 18 to 22 for over 6 months.
These are checked by Ethernet cable
Recently they have decreased to about 40 and 16. TPG can control the amount of bandwidth consumed.
You can not even check your internet speed on the TPG app. Why?
TPG have been very good at ringing back straight away, but each person asked to check the same things. Guess what the same results reduced speeds.
as a example. If I paid an extra $20 for 10mbps extra it would happen straight away.
Will just need to keep a check on it and make a decision on TOG response

How many devices are connected to your WIFI? Can you do a speed test now using one of your wireless device through speedtest.net or fast.com? Then, share to us the results here.

At this time of test 2 devices
Wifi test upload 44mbps
Download 15mbps.
As you would know.
Internet service providers may intentionally slow down customers' service to limit the total amount of bandwidth consumed. This, in turn, can allow ISPs to minimize network congestion or charge more for the privileges of higher bandwidth. Internet throttling is most common with mobile and wireless ISPs.

If you are on NBN50 and have these speed test results, this is considered as a passing speed. Moreover, we do not have a control on the bandwidth part. You may also have a read through here, Speeds on the NBN network explained

Hi @Pete58 . Best indication of speed is an ethernet computer. Use speed test on TPG support page.

Check that there is no other activity on computer or other devices (streaming, backups, etc).

Use ping and tracert commands to check for delays.

Ping LAN ip address of router, eg.    ping -n 20 192.168.1.1

Check delays to TPG, eg.   tracert tpg.com.au

Ping the router's default gateway, the "10" address in tracert output.

What type of NBN connection do you have?

Are you on NBN50 speed?
And what model router?

Thank you for your input David all this has been done.
I’m a regular checker of speeds.
And it’s been about a month that the service has been limited.
5 months good
1 month lower
Will see how the next month goes then I’ll decide whether to try another provider or not.
Sometimes it pays to keep Changing to keep them honest.
Everything is always good to start with then ….,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

@Pete58 . My suggestions were only to try to determine where delays might be occurring.

It might even be a quality of service/bandwidth control on your router.
