Get online support
Hope they weren't hacked again. It happened last December to TPG Telecom's iiNet and Westnet customers. Maybe we're next.
If they were hacked they need to go public about it - even if their share price will drop as a result, as happened last year like in this afr article: https://www.afr.com/companies/telecommunications/tpg-email-server-breached-as-hacker-prowls-for-cryp...
I'm having the same problem. Can't login, it just sits there when I put in login and password and then press Sign In. Nothing
apparently one of their email servers is down, with no estimated fix time in spite of website showing no issue. I was on phone for 17 minutes with support.
Their customer service is appalling. Once I get my phone sorted I'm going to close all accounts and go with another provider that is based in Australia. This is totally unacceptable.
If you set up an email client in your system and add the tpg account, it will work to send and receive emails.
I prefer the web-based email and don't usually use email clients.
I just set it up in Mail on my mac and it works.
Trouble with email clients is it has to be set up in all devices individually - quite a pain compared to web-based email.
At least this gets it working.
So what they should be saying on their status page is something like "One of the email servers for TPG Post Office is down, with no estimated fix time. Please set up email in an email client to access emails in the meantime"
- if only to keep us from guessing what is going on - and to give us access to email again.
great product when it works
poor customer service - yes, and they are priced accordingly
you will pay more for more customer service and the same internet speed
that is basically why we are trapped with these people = cost $
if you find a better, faster, cheaper alternative please let me know
mine is not working on tpg post office!!
How do I set up an email account to get into tpg
you would have setup a primary tpg email address with your account, you can log in with that email
To setup email clients, it depends on which system you have.
On an apple device the main email client is Mail.
mac: https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/mail/mail35803/mac (this is the one I used to get my tpg emails working again)
iphone, ipad, ipod touch: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201320
For Windows it is outlook: https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/office/add-an-email-account-to-outlook-e9da47c4-9b89-4b49-b945-a...
For android, you can use the gmail app: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/set-up-email-in-android-email-app-71147974-7aca-491b-978a...
There are many other email clients as well if you want to try different ones, but they are the main ones.
If you want to try different ones, just google "email clients" and you will find plenty of them.
