We have just signed up for fibre to the building connection however I am now wondering if we have to switch to NBN when this comes to our building or can we stay as we are with fibre?

Hi @gailspendiff,

Welcome to TPG Community!

We have located the account using your communtiy details. We can see that you have signed up for TPG FTTB service.

TPG FTTB is different from NBN. TPG FTTB (Fibre to the Building) uses our own fibre optic network that has been installed in many metro apartment buildings in Australia and does not rely on NBNCo infrastructure.

We've created an article that differentiates them. Here's the link:

https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Featured-Articles/Difference-between-TPG-FTTB-amp-NBN-FTTB/ba-p/1641

TPG owns and operates the end to end Fibre network infrastructure to deliver our FTTB service which means we have full control over your service quality.

Having said this, you can stay with your TPG FTTB service as it is also uses fibre technology.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.
