Wi-Fi router poor signal strength

Hi, for the past year or so our wi-fi signal strength has been decreasing. When it began to decrease I bought a wi-fi extender, that helped but for the past 6 months it keeps dropping out and today I can't get the wi-fi extender to work in it's location.

Could you please help?

Is the wifi extender still generating a signal? Can your device detect it up close?

Does your wifi device indicate lower signal strength?

Same thing with the main wifi router?

i am having the same problem my extender is working ok but the TPG Modem signal is dying have advise TPG deaf ears . Now looking to purchase new Modem or change supplier
