My internet is okay but my landline has no dial tone. I have unplugged and plugged back in but with no diference.

Either the modem has a problem or there is an internal network error. Try powering off the modem to see if a cold reboot will clear the problem. If that doesn't work, your service provider needs to fix whatever is wrong.
