Hello Joseph _D   Yes, I have been able to send email via TPG Post Office.   Yesterday I spent a very long time talking with a tech at TPG.  He asked me to leave my mobile phone on all day, and he would ring me back...I think he went to see someone elsewhere.  He didn't ring back.   I opened my Outlook this morning and emails were coming in.  I tentatively sent emails to two people at testers for them to reply - they went and I got replies, using my Outlook.  So the young man I spoke to Must have got the wheels of Insdustry turning, and things were set right overnight.   I just need to be in touch with the outside world and it had me worried.   So, now...if it's working and it ain't broke (at the moment), I shan't try to fix it.   Thank you all for trying to help.   It has been very good of you,   Lucy ... I changed the settings.  Nothing works now. Can't even get a test email   I am having a cross problem.  TPG Postmaster thinks I am sending Spam and everything is blocked. my email address, my alias....  My phone does have a dial tone.   I would rather set things back how they worked for years.  and use my original password.   Lucy ... Hello Shane.   I have changed my password.  I have scanned my computer - and my MS Firewall tells me that everything is OK with green ticks.  When the firewall scans - it does its thing.    I also scan with Glarys.  Then restart.  I do not tick the registry for a scan because, like the spotted dog and the fire truck, if Glarys caught up with something, I wouldn't know what to do with it.  Having used your approach, I must now select a receipient or two that will not send me an angry e-mail over excessive downloads of one item...that is to come.    Now I have another Problem. this keeps turning up.   No matter what one does - it comes back time an again.  No getting rid of it. Any help appreciated with the latter - the former I have to test out myself over the next day or so. Hi all, I did the the david64  suggestion - as I posted previously...I figured it did not work.  I did a restart - still with the popup. I had already done the one from TPG support.  I was tired and figured I would tackle it again in the monring.  Closed my PC down. So, I was up with the sparrows this morning. Turned on my PC. Opened Outlook...waited for the popup.  All set to tackle other suggestions - and - wait for it...the pop up is gone!   I don't know where it went, but I sincerely hope these are not famous last words. It's gone. For others with the same problem.  I figure david64 had the solution however, I also figure, part of the solution was to turn the Computer off. Not a restart. Hi David64 - Thank you for your reply.   I followed the instruction - even got a Microsoft test telling me my Outlook is working.   The instructions were clear and concise.  I thought I would restart, and open Outlook...moments later the Popup returned. Usually, I either open Outlook or...I a using Outlook and it pops up.   I am and older lady  -  I use Outlook 2007...I know it is not current, but it is very usable and workable, except for the popup. Lucy         ... View more

They are 9 hours behind us, and his age also limits a quick response, but...I think this is the answer.  He's added something to the email address and it is not recognised, thus it is returned.   I have to wait.     I write in English and have to Google translate everything into French - some of the translation leaves a bit to be desired but if no repsonse...I will send a snail mail explaining.  I did a screenshot - to show him where I think the error might be.  I trust he understands it.  I am 80 years old myself...he's doing OK for 96, but technology is only good for him when it works. Thank you for your reply - Indeed there was a time there where my Modem was red lights.  My popup and error problem started the day before.   Then, as you say, the outage.  When I woke this morning, the Popup was still there...and as outlined previously, that  was the way I fixed it. I didn't know about the outage at the time, which added to my frustration. I am 77 years old - but given patience - I figured out the problem.  On top of that, there was a Windows 10 update - a big one - and that gave me a different problem.  I won't elaborate on Windows Updates, but...I could do without them! Hi,  It might be a little stupid to reply to my own question - I do hope I don't Hi-Jack someone's thoughts on this subject. This annoying popup I kept getting...continually asking me to confirm my  User Name and Password - email not coming in, email not going out. and always, that confounded popup!!!! I finally got rid of it:   I opened Outlook 2007 enterprise (what I use). I clicked on New Message.  Just under the SEND TAB there is a tab. ACCOUNTS  with a down arrow:       Click on it and if you have two, put the tick in the second one - It may take two or three tries until your PC gets the message not to revert to its previous habit.  Send yourself an email with you NEW tick in place, and the Pop Up disappears. So, if you have added an account or changed your account in some way.  The popup is working with the original, not the newer account version.   Hope this helps someone - I don't have NBN yet -  but I think this could apply to anyone with MS  Office Outlook  that gets this annoying popup.
