Hi Michael, Thanks for the reply. I suspect it was going to be a leap of faith the NBN would get this sorted. I was going to consider FTTP but the cost to have fast internet is more than I can afford at the moment so I’m stuck.

Hello, I’ve had my internet for about 5 weeks. In that time I’ve noticed a pattern. When it rains my NBN either cuts in and out or it completely disconnects forcing me to do a hard reset of the NBN connection device. In that 5 week period I completely lost the internet for 5 days as my NbN got fried during the storms and my nbn device required replacement. When speaking to the technician he said flooded NBN pits shouldn’t cause drop outs because the connection was suspended in the air. It is clear that there is a problem in my NBN pit regardless of what this technician says as I can lose connection within a minute of the rain starting.

Unfortunately, due to similar issues in the area, nbn technicians are experiencing overwhelmingly high workloads and tech response times are longer than normal. Hi @Michaelherps, We've tested the line and was not able to detect any fault within the NBN network. When you experience the dropouts, did you notice any changes with the lights of your NBN NCD box? Please send me a PM with your preferred time and best number to be contacted and I'll arrange a call from our Tech team to look into it further. BasilDV

Hi @Michaelherps, Thanks for raising this matter to us and my apologies for the ongoing issues with the speed of your service. We've managed to check your account records and it shows here that your issue has been escalated to Telstra due to the fault found on the network. A Telstra communications technician has been scheduled to attend to the service difficulty anytime between now and 02/Mar/2018. Your attendance is not required.
