On June 5 (yesterday), I posted a question about having no internet connection and whether it was my modem as I had checked all the websites and in my suburb of maroubra in Sydney, there were no outages reported. my tpg modem had many lights off and, no outages reported, I thought my modem needed checking. At 11.30 pm my internet came back. I had rebooted my nbn modem plus my own and rebooted my pc without success so I gave up and watched freetoair. I have now deleted that question ❔ as it was no longer relevant however, I had no internet despite all the relevant websites stating there were no outages in my area. It seems I can't trust what is reported. Am I alone??

I sent an email to another tpg address and it was pretty much instant. I sent one to my gmail acct and it took 3 minutes. Did you do something?? I got a nice surprise when I saw them arrive so quickly. I will try again with Mygov to update my details to see how long it takes. I will keep you informed. Regards, and thanks

Hello and Thank you for helping me. My email has always been slow. My email client is the one that came my Samsung phone and as well as Outlook so I can create folders and keep e-mails via imap.

How long should it take for an email to arrive in my inbox. I got an imap account primarily because I hoped emails would arrive quicker than my pop3 account. Today I attempted to sign up to the MyGov app. As part of the security routine, an email is sent to my address with a code that is used to confirm my ID. The email takes so long to arrive (15+ minutes) that the code is no longer valid and I have to do it again. Some sight do not have an alternative method. So.. How long should I expect emails to arrive??

About 3 to 4 days ago i purchased an IMAP account. I wrote down my email addresss and seemingly immediately lost it. Who do I ask what I registered? Should I expect an email telling me the account has been established? I had the impression it would only take about 2 days to establish my IMAP account. Would someone please point me towards instructions on how to check my IMAP emails via the web. I thought all i had to do was check my emails via Outlook (which i now use) and all emails would appear. I think I'm getting confused :-(

Hello. We are unable to logon to the tpg website using my wife's details. Her username and customer Id is kmbarakat 6721803. Both are showing as active on the TPG website. For over month, she has had trouble responding to emails she gets from her friends. The error message is alway "unknown error. try again" showing in a small red box. I attempted to logon using her credentials to see whether she can send an email using the web postoffice however, we cannot logon. I have reset her email settings mutiple time. on some occasions, the reply and send function will work but only for a short time before it again fails to do so. As the error message is on her phone, i cant get a screenshot. there is NO error code, only unknown error. our attempt tp send an email from the Web postoffice fails as she cannot logon despite all her email settings are correct including user name and pasword. Please help. We have changed passwords, however we dont want to delete slave email.

Is it possible to replace the TPG supplied V1600 with the new Tp-Link Vx420-G2v. My internet connection is driving me mad. within the space of one day, my connection speed fluctuates from approx 100 mbps to 4 mbps. I used to get 144 wireless speed from the modem to the PC but that speed now seems out of reach. I did a speedtest using the TPG App. Speed was 52 mbps 2 minutes later A speedtest using the one on the TPG website was 2.7 download and 8.8 upload. It took over 20 seconds for the TPG website to open. I am reluctantly considering another ISP - even going back to telstra (with whom I had been with for over 20years). The 3 powerline adapters i have tried to use are inadequate to improve my connection. Plan is NBN cable 50

David, i appreciate your effort to help me. nas connected by network cable supplied with nas. Tv uses 2.4G. buffering signal at start but non during the movie. I use 11 when on 2.4g. I have the newer movies on the desktop pc and it is in another room. Without the extender, the wifi connection is unstable and week. I never get full bars. I often change to 5G as the 2.4g connection to overcome the "connected but no internet available". I often have to reconnect the pc due to lost wifi connection especially using 2.4g. The TV option to connect to pc goes grey and it is then I go and choose 2.4g or 5g. I have purchased extra large antenna for the pc and my old router but the tpg does not have one. Only half of my daughters room gets a signal and my bedroom is very poor. I've been told the concrete walls cause most of the problems. Regards, joe

Hello David, thank you for trying to help. I watch movies via a wireless connection to my router which has a NAS and some movie on my pc. The Tpg supplied modem is on top of a bookcase and is directly opposite the TV set (about 15 metres away and line of sight with no obstacles). The TV set reports the signal strength at 70%. After the cut-out, all I do is restart the movie. The server does not need to be restarted. All i have to do is fast forward to where I was when it stopped. I have noticed an error message but it flashes for less than a second and I have no hope of reading what it says. My nbn is a hfc connection. I have purchased and use an extender to help the WiFi signal reach my pc. To determine if it is the problem, I disconnected it however, the problem remained. I have also updated the drivers for nearly everything to do with a WiFi connection. Yesterday I reset my tpg modem to factory setting and after getting it back by resetting it up, the problem remains. I'm going through all this because I need to keep the voip phone. I have tried to follow as many suggestions as possible within my ability. Thank you for the help. Regards, joe

The Modem.....TP-Link Archer VR600v V2 AC1600 Wireless Gigabit VoIP VDSL/ADSL Modem Router. I have been trying to replace the supplied tpg modem as it does not meet my needs - a reliable connection. I am 70 years old and homespun due to illness. My only escape is the internet however, having to constantly reset the Modem is becoming overly taxing. I have been advised to purchase an access point or mesh system. The set-up cost is almost twice the cost of the equipment because I have to get someone to set it up for me for a fee. Replacing the Modem would be easier. The question.....can this new tplink modem connect to the TPG system. One of the problems I am currently encountering is cut-outs for a few seconds and having to restart any movie I may be watching. Forgive the long story and thank you all for previous provided help. I want to buy a better router to replace the one supplied by tpg. I use VoIP for my landline phone. I'm told a 3rd party modem wouldn't enable me to have my landline phone number. It's only available on the tpg supplied modem. Does tpg sell a better modem ?
