NBN Tech attended on Saturday, said the problem was upstream from us and left. On Sunday, the red flashing link light changed to blue flashing, so I assume someone fixed something somewhere up the street, but we still didn't have a connection. An NBN FTTC NCD arrived in this morning's mail, I replaced the existing NCD with the new unit and we now have connectivity. Fix applied by engineering at 1:32pm today. We now have sidetone and dial tone and can make an receive calls.  Modem still reports "Telephone Status: Telephone service unavailable. Please check your account settings or register a new number."   ... View more

Updating so the thread contains information about what's happning in the DMs. Escalated to TPG support. Susie from TPG support rang and did some testing including a remote restart. We're still not getting dial tone or side tone on either the cordless Uniden phone or the wired Telstra/Alcatel handset. The problem has now been escalated to engineering. I've taken screenshots of each of the configuration pages on the modem, I'm trying to avoid another factory reset because it takes about an hour to redo the config and test with everybody we need to connect to. TPG could make this easier by allowing clients to use the backup/restore functionality in the modem but it's hidden behind a higher access level user instead. ... View more

Internet is working fine, currently 53Mbps down and 19 up. Modem has been reset many times, with no improvement. The moidem seems to have somehow lost the configuration for the phone and no amount of resetting or restore to factory has fixed it. I'll send a DM when I get a chance. ... View more
