It's very frustrating, and the TIO say it's a 'business decision' and they can't do anything   However there is still the federal communications authority...    I will never recommend TPG to anybody again. I found their staff/practices to be inefficient, unfair, and rude.    I was with them for many years as well  - so much for valuing loyal customers.    This behaviour causes brand harm - but I am not sure TPG appreciate this. ... The community should know how TPG talks to its customers   This email extract is from WILBERT BERNANDO of TPG on Friday 7 July 2023 at 5:29 pm.:   " With all due respect, was it not you who wanted the service cancelled ASAP?  At any point during your complaint to cancel the service did you bring to our attention that you wanted to keep your TPG email?  Regardless if TPG still offers email services or not, mails from the folders of your TPG email will still be deleted the moment the account is cancelled.  ... "   To reply (with far more courtesy than I have been shown):    1. Yes,  I complained about TPG failure to book cancellation of my old service after multiple phone requests were not actioned.  I see other customers having similar issues here .  2. Yes,  I did ask to access my emails - twice in writing, twice verbally during the account closure process.   It took until 6 June to get the prepaid service refund processed (one of my emails re: refund also reminded TPG of my request to recover emails). 3. My request to access my emails was made before TPG implemented its 'new' policy on 7 June of deleting emails 4. Beware, remove all your sensitive /important emails first - they have started deleting email records of customers (particularly those who complain, it seems) - even though this page has messages helping folk access emails on old accounts.    ... View more

Interestingly TPG case manager agreed (by email this evening) they could (*and do*) recover customer emails    BUT, they now claim there's a  'new policy' as of 7 June that applies to newly created email (noting it is some years since I opened my tpg account, and a few weeks after my account was closed) that they don't store emails anymore.    Can you point me to this policy on the TPG public website please?   Why is TPG still helping customers access old emails here?  That doesn't make sense at all.    Posting here for you to reply - it seems important that other users can compare notes and that TPG be publicly accountable for what seems to be inconistent messaging.  ...
