Archer VR1600v connection problem on wired ethernet connected PC

Hello,

Archer VR1600v connection problem on wired connected PC using 100gb ethernet port, all wireless and other devices work well.

I noticed it happens when the download speeds starts to peak the connection will crash the modem needs be rebooted for it to connect to the pc.The wifi does not get affected at all and it keeps working fine, it only effects the LAN port.

I have already tried the following without any sucess. until the modem is rebooted nothing will work

  • Change cable to PC
  • Connect another laptop to the modem with ethernet cable without any luck.
  • Ping test 192.168.1.1 which times out.
  • WIFI works while the LAN port ceases.
  • Swapped LAN port to a different port

Did lot of search and it seems this modem model is plagued with hardware issues and  it ceases under strain. Could you please look into it or change modem to different model.

Hi Garry23,

Can you attach screenshot of ipconfig output  from command prompt? How's LAN status of router? is that ON or OFF

In the command prompt type, ipconfig and then hit Enter.
