Hi @apyleanne . Do you get the router login screen?

What happens when you enter the userid and password that is on the label on the router?

What model router is it?

@apyleanne . What is the model of your wifi router?

Do you have internet access at the moment?

When you say "router frequency", what do you mean? Are you wanting to change a wifi setting?

My VX420 automatically uses both 2.4 and 5 bands. If you have the WiFi app on your smartphone choose 'Channels' and you will be able to confirm.

@apyleanne . This is easier if you use your ethernet computer.

In your browser, in the address field, enter:

192.168.1.1

This gets the router login screen.

The userid is   admin   in lower case.

The password is the Default Password shown on the label in fhe photo. It is case sensitive.

You will have to look for Band Steering. Disable it. Then change the 5GHz SSID by adding   -5G

Then save. You should see 2 networks on your wifi device.
