Another update - the line dropped out at 10.51 pm on Saturday 30th - the attached graph shows the time - monitoring was undertaken using ethernet connection.
Despite great stability over the last 22 hours, the connection dropped out again at 9.07 approx - again I was monitoring via ethernet - attached is a screenshot .
At 9.55 approx the system dropped out again - attached are two screen shots of pingplotter - the first for this outage, and the second displaying this and the earlier one. In both, the Pingplotter lost track of the 2nd hop (IP 10.20.22.121) - maybe I am misreading the tracks.
A few strange things over night:
First, at 2.05am, PingPlotter records a drop out, but the annotation at Hop 2 is that "target name www.google.com.au changed from 216.58.199.35 to 1962.168.1.1" and this is reversed at 2.10am with the following message "target name www.google.com.au changed from 192.168.1.1 to 216.58.199.35."
See attached file Change-ofTarget"
Second - while i lost the grapgs, the system dropped again at 2.30 and again at about 6.30 (I will be more careful to save the traces in future).
Again this morning between 9.18 and 9.20am (1 Jan) - see attached
the again at approb 9.34am on 1 Jan - see attached
Another drop out at 5.12 pm Mon 1st - again see attached graphs.
I have made lots of posts without a response - am I wasting my time?
Another drop out at 10.47am Tues 2nd Jan. See attached!
The triangle below the restart of pings says "target changed from 216.58.203.99 to 216.58.199.35" - which as you can see is the current google.com.au ip address. There was a change of ip address at my router.
So - an incomplete list of outages, previously advised (including uploaded graphs from pingplotter) is as follows:
2pm 29/12
6.45pm 29/12
4pm 30/12
7.27pm 30/12
10.51pm 30/12
9.07pm 31/12
9.55pm 31/12
2.05am 1/1
2.30am 1/1
6.30am 1/1
9.18a 1/1
9.34am 1/1
5.12pm 1/1
and
10.47am 2/1
I would appreciate a response to this advice and assume the relative silence from TPG over the last few days has been due to holidays. But today should be business as usual.
Regards
Patrick
