Google Nest Wifi Router won't connect to TP Link Archer VR1600V Modem

I bought a Google Nest Wifi Router and one Wifi Point to try and improve the internet connection at the other end of the house.
I've had it a week now, and still not able to get the two products to connect. Any suggestions?
