High Latency from Perth to SEA server - COD and Dota 2

I am getting the same issue now I used to get 100ping in Singapore 1 apex server now its 350+....

Hi,

 

Thanks for raising this to us, we'd love to help see what causes high latency on the game connection. Please send us your account details (Username/Customer ID together with the address on file) also perform the following troubleshooting below.

 

I. CONTINUOUS PING:

To conduct a continuous ping, ensure that none of your other PCs are doing internet activity.
Open up the command prompt of one of your PCs.
Type the following in "ping <IP address> -n 1000" without the quotations.
ping 192.168.1.1 -n 1000
ping 10.20.22.148 -n 1000
ping http://tpg.com.au -n 1000


Wait for the test to finish and for the PING STATISTICS, found at the end, to show up.
Save the screenshots.

We should have 3 ping test results.


II. TRACE ROUTE

To conduct a trace route,
Open up the command prompt of one of your PCs.
Type the following in "tracert http://tpg.com.au" without the quotations.
EXAMPLE: tracert http://tpg.com.au

Perform another trace route to your game server.

Save a screen shot of the traceroute results.


III. SPEED TESTS:

For speed tests, please run the speed tests at : http://www.speedtest.net
Please just get a screenshot after the test is complete.
Please don't forget to indicate the timestamps for these tests.


and send me all the screen shot of the test result or you may post it on this thread.

This problem has commenced again. My pings to Singapore server in Dota2 have gone back to 2 bars out of 5 whereas before (up to last week) it was 5 bars.

Time to go to Optus for real this time.

Must be something to do with the Indigo West submarine cable - that was the issue last time.

Hi,
I'm also having the same issue.
It started from 11th October.

Did you get any information on this from TPG if any change has been made to routing?

My ping for SEA server jumped from 110ms to 350ms and US West dropped from 350ms to 150ms.

So annoyed with this and not to speak of packet drops throughout the whole time I play.
