Hi @matthewsims,

As per checking, this issue has been escalated to our Engineering Team and they are now working on sending a new modem.

The Team is keeping a close eye on this case and will be in touch via SMS or phone call to provide further updates.

We will also make a follow up and if you have further quires, please let us know.

Thank you.

Thanks,

that makes 4 failed/faulty Huawei modems since I’ve been with TPG.

These modems are rubbish !

An NBN Technician came out and was able to prove a working service using his test modem, thus we have decided to send a new one to get the connection working, @matthewsims.

Our Engineering Team is still waiting for an update, but rest assured that they will be in touch as soon as a new feedback becomes available.

I agree, I am on my third rubbish Modem.

What tags me off is that you have to go through a huge discussion with TPG, last time they wanted NBN out and then expected to charge me for the pleasure.

When your Internet drops out, and power cycling the modem (the rubbish Huawei modem), fixes the issue you have two trouble shooting options.

1. The TPG network is poorly run - or

2. The Huawei Modem is a piece of rubbish

Either way this is a TPG issue.

TPG, you should listen to this and at least give me an option to purchase a different brand of Modem (Netcomm) or something, but not this rubbish.

Good day @CJC

Welcome to TPG Community!

This is understandable, but please be assured that we take a genuine interest in all customer feedback, often implementing solutions to issues raised by customers

If you are not using your home phone on your NBN, then you can purchase your own VDSL modem to use with the FTTN service. Here's a link for the list of compatible VDSL modem. (Credits to @tonystork)

Kind regards,
