New Customer but at same address....

Hi Community,

I have a TPG/NBN Broadband account at my address.
A relative living here would like to get Home Wireless $54.99/$64.99 per month
for himself. He will be a new customer - separate account holder, separate payment.
Just the address will be the same.
I need to make sure that my TPG NBN account will not be affected as I
wish to keep my account which includes home phone.

Is this possible?

Hi @6727296 . Did you get a reply from TPG?

Unofficially, there shouldn't be a problem. Your broadband is from NBN which only allows one connection per property. The home wireless broadband (4G/5G) is a separate facility from TPG.

Although, it could be more economical to share your connection.

What type of NBN connection do you have? And what plan speed?

If it is possible to increase the speed on your connection, your relative could pay the incremental cost for the higher speed plan. Is he living in your house or in granny flat?

Hi david64,
No reply from TPG and have just seen your reply.

NBN connection is HFC.

All okay now. My relative received his 5G modem 2 days ago
and is now all connected with his own account.

Salesperson assured us it would not affect my account.

But thank you for your reply.
