New NBN Connection - No Internet

I was connected to nbn yesterday and have been unable to connect to the internet. My Huawei 659 modem has the dsl plug connected and power and is displaying solid lights on Power & WAN and flashing lights on Internet & WLAN. 
I can connect to the modem from my iPad, but after putting in my userid and password I get a message stating the device cannot connect to the Internet and to contact my ISP (see image attached)

Hi Iancm, let's check what type of NBN service you have and make sure you got the right connection.
