I was connected to nbn yesterday and have been unable to connect to the internet. My Huawei 659 modem has the dsl plug connected and power and is displaying solid lights on Power & WAN and flashing lights on Internet & WLAN.  I can connect to the modem from my iPad, but after putting in my userid and password I get a message stating the device cannot connect to the Internet and to contact my ISP (see image attached)   ... Having experienced really bad 5g internet for most of the last 3 months (since converting from NBN) I can report that we have had a few good days on the past 3days ... now we have gone from over 150Mbps down to a more "normal" of about 3.5!!!   what is going on??? ... View more

I have had very poor internet connectivity since converting to 5G Broadband. Again this week I am lucky to get more than 10Mbps and it is only 2:30pm ... what will it be like tonight? When watching TV it periodically freezes so buffering catches up.   I cannot check to see if there are any outages via the TPG website (like I could on NBN) and I think I have given it long enough to prove itself.  Please arrange to have this service cancelled and transfer me back to NBN.  Thanks... ... I lost internet last night at 11pm and this morning at 9:28am it is still not working. All bar the top light is working on the modem. It has been rebooted twice and the SIM has been reseated also. This is the worst outage I have had since changing to 5G and the connection on a "good" day is spotty at best.  I can't check the service status as the screen doesn't work ... It seems things were too good to be true ... we still seem to have issues and outages every day around noon and every evening around 7pm where the internet stops for 5-10 minutes before coming back on. This weekend has been particularly poor with virtually no internet all day yesterday and marginally better today but still spotty. If it works at all it is anything from 0 to 26 Mbps download. Since switching to 5G the average download speed has been about 33Mbps, I have had over 100Mbps occasionally but I need to be standing next to the modem.  Yesterday the modem stopped working and all the signal lights flashed on and off for about 20 minutes before resetting itself ... when it does work only 2 of the 4 signal lights are on.  I'm afraid this is just not acceptable and I am prepared to give TPG one more chance and that will require putting us back on to NBN (which I was on prior to 5G) and if we can't get decent performance there we will be moving on. I switched to the 5g Home Broadband Premium level as my NBN was so slow and my expectation was that I would get better performance with the switch.  Initially it was ok, but now I am lucky to get around 20Mbps most times. My TV is barely watchable at times and iPads connected stop working. There are 2 of us in the house and I have relocated the modem several times. I am also running a TP-Link AX1800 Wi-Fi Range Extender to enable house wide coverage. Performance makes no difference whether on the Extender or the actual Modem.  Unless we can get this issue resolved I will be looking elsewhere for internet.  ... View more
