New TP Link AX50 problems connecting through NBN NCD on FTTC

I have just purchased a new modem - TP Link AX50, to replace the ancient modem originally supplied by TPG. I have followed all the steps on the TPG site but the modem won't connect. TPG says it supports this modem so what do I do next?

The IPTV/VLAN setup is only used if you are on bundled NBN/VOIP plan.
