TPG email addresses are moving to The Messaging Company???

Hi, I just read about the TPG email termination, when is this happening?, i am away from Australia now. I got no email informing me about the transfer but i saw a link about it on the website. Really concern cause i need my TPG email while i am away. I have no access to my mobile, while i am away.

Please advice

i saw this notice on (The Messaging Company)  "Please note that failure to opt-in to transfer by the date specified by TPG may result in the future loss of your email address."

What is the transfer date? i will only be back in AUS mid August

You can keep the tpg email if you transfer to The Messaging Company by 30 November 2023, but the catch is that after 15 September 2024 you have to pay for it if you want it to keep going after that.

What happens if I don’t choose to keep my email address?

• You don’t need to do anything if you’re happy for your TPG email address to be deleted.
• If you do not move to The Messaging Company before the date advised in the notice we emailed to you, your TPG email address will be suspended and you will no longer be able to send or receive emails.
• Once suspended, if you do not choose to move your TPG email address to The Messaging Company, the following will apply:
  • The email address will be deleted from 30 November 2023 and can no longer be recovered
    
    as the above email will be deletd 30 November 2023, but it didnt state when is the cut of date for me to transfer. Can I do the transfer now , I know it says i will be sent a PIN to my tpg email, what about OTP to my mobile, cause i have no access to mobile atm.

Hi @flossed, we'll begin contacting customers this week, notifying them of the email closure and the transfer process. This email will also indicate the cutoff date for you to complete the transfer. Whilst you haven't received the email communication yet, you can now initiate the transfer at https://register.themessagingco.com.au/opt-in/email?b=tpg

To complete the transfer, the unique PIN can only be sent to the email address provided, not via OTP to your mobile.

The new service seems to be crap. Takes ages to actually get the code.

From what I seem to read it appears we will have the same email address but hosted by THE MESSAGING COMPANY.

Interesting to see what the costs will be as for $25 (a year) you could keep your email address and move to another ISP..

If I have to change my email address every where I will also change ISP as well, been with the company over 10 years....

Pricing is supposed to come at least 60 days prior to 15 September 2024.

I think it will probably be determined by how many transfer, and they don't know that yet.
