Terrible internet speds

We recently switched from Telstra to TPG to provide us ADSL2 broadband internet.

 

While with Telstra, we were experiencing download speeds of ~6.00 Mbps.
Since we joined TPG last week on a similar plan, our download struggles to get about 1.00Mbps.

 

I understand TPG rents a lot of their network from Telstra.
Would we be better cancelling our TPG policy and returning to Telstra or is TPG able to offer a competitve service?

We truly understand your sentiment and we apologise for the poor experience. Telstra is indeed our wholesale partner and we rely on them to provide your area with the service. 

 

I can see that the issue has been escalated to our Engineering Team and a technician has been scheduled to visit today. We will chase this with their team to check for the progress and have them to contact you for updates within the day.
