NBN Telephone not working

I suffer frequent NBN drop-outs with our Modem correctly indicating when the NBN has dropped our internet connection.


Our NBN connection is currently OK and I can access the internet.  However - our land line is not working.   The handsets are active with dial tone, but I cannot place or receive calls.   Dialled numbers simply do not connect.


I have tried re-setting the modem and our telephone by cycling the power to both devices.   


The TPG help line is of no use - because my phone is not working
