Hi,

We have an Archer VR1600v v2 000000

Our firmware is showing as:0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 200810 Rel.53181n

How does this get updated as I think this is really old?

Thank you

Anna

Hi,

not sure if rteplying to this old thread is the right way tpo go about this, but here goes anyway...

I've got an Archer VR1600v v2 as part pf my NBN bundle. It's just started having regular and annoying failures, mainly on the 5G WiFi connections. I used Apple's Wireless Diagnostics tool, and it doesn't look like I have any new neighbours who've jumped onto my 5G channel (I switched to a new seemingly empty channel anyway). It seems the cabled ports are working fine (though I don't have anything plugged in that'll conclusively show there were no ouitages there), the 2.4G WiFi seems to be not as bad but still a bit flakey (my Homekit stuff quite often reports everything as unreachable). I've tried power cycling the VR1600 (and the NBN box too), sometimes thast fixes it for a while, sometimes it makes no difference.

While in the router adminm, I noticed this:

Hardware Version:Archer VR1600v v2 00000000

Firmware Version:0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 200810 Rel.53181n

And I found this thread which suggests I'm probably not running up to date firmware here?

My customer ID is 420XXXX (I think? That's frpom the Acccount Summary page when I log in...)

Am I running old firmware here? And if so, what do I do to get it updated? (And is that likelyt to make any diofferecne to my problem anyway?)

Thanks

Hi @Iain,

It is best if we can have the firmware updated first to rule out any issue that may be firmware-related. Once completed, you may then test if there's any improvement. If any issue persists, we can have our Tech team to perform troubleshooting along with you.

I've sent the firmware update request which usually is completed within 24-72hrs. I'll be in touch again once done.

Cheers!
