Firmware upgrade for Archer VR1600v v1

Hello Team,

I am getting low speeds in a two bedroom house on 5Hz and 2.4Hz.

I use an FTTB connection and the expected speeds are around 90 Mbps.

I did reset the router to match exactly as my friend's living in the same building one floor below ours.

The only thing different was the firmware. We both are using the FTTB connection for TPG.

My Firware version is :

Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 171116 Rel.53499n
Hardware Version: Archer VR1600v v1 00000000

and my friends's is :

Firmware Version:  1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180306 Rel.63433n Hardware Version:           Archer VR1600v v1 00000000

Let me know from where I can download the latest firmware. Or if anything else is missing to increase speed.

Regards,

Jagjyot

Hi @jagjyothans

I have asked our hardware teams to have the latest firmware pushed to your modem.

Give it 24-48hrs and then do a restart on your modem.

Current firmwares.

Hardware version: Archer VR1600v v1.0
NBN-FTTN/FTTB/HFC/FTTC = TP-Link VR1600: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180828 Rel.56416n
TPG-FTTB = TP-Link VR1600: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180828 Rel.35294n

Hardware version: Archer VR1600v v1.1 + v2.0
NBN-FTTN/FTTB/HFC/FTTC = TP-Link VR1600: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 190228 Rel.72265n
TPG-FTTB = TP-Link VR1600: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 190305 Rel.72906n

Hello David,

Post Firmware upgrade I see that 5Ghz connection is dropping continuosly.

One other thing that I noticed was, the Hardware version for me is Archer VR1600v v1.0 but I got the firmware version for Archer VR1600v v1.1

Could you please update the firmware version to :

TP-Link VR1600: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180828 Rel.56416n

Currently it is :

TP-Link VR1600: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 190305 Rel.72906n

Reference from previous thread:

Current firmwares.

Hardware version: Archer VR1600v v1.0
NBN-FTTN/FTTB/HFC/FTTC = TP-Link VR1600: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180828 Rel.56416n
TPG-FTTB = TP-Link VR1600: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180828 Rel.35294n

Hardware version: Archer VR1600v v1.1 + v2.0
