NBN linking light is red flashing and clicking

My internet is not working from yesterday it dropped out. The linking symbol on the NBN box is flashing red and clicking. When I tried to contact TPG I was put on hold then put though to someone who also put me on hold, then after a long time I was simply hung up on! I urgently need internet for work and need this sorted asap.
