Replacing Archer VR1600V with Archer AX10

Hi,

NBN Technology: NBN Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC)

Plan: NBN Cable 50

I just bought a Archer AX10 to replace the TPG supplied Archer VR1600 but I am having absolutely no luck in getting the AX10 to connect to the internet.

I noticed it is not one of the routers TPG has supplied instructions for but I have also noted that someone posted in July that they managed to connect the AX10 successfully.

Anyone have any advice please?

Hi @marcofranse2 . The internet settings are: PPPoE, username with @tpg.com.au, password.

For HFC, you need to set VLAN ID=2. The manual is not clear on how to do this. This iiNet article has VLAN ID settings for some TP-Link routers. You can compare your router to the ones here:

Works like a charm! Not easy to find at all! See attached screenshot. You have to enable IPTV/VLAN and change the mode to 'Custom'.

Internet VLAN ID:2

Internet VLAN Priority:0

Enable '802.1Q Tag'

It will force you to enter an ID for the following: (I just used sequential numbers as they can't be the same)

VoIP VLAN ID:4

IPTV VLAN ID: 6
