does tpg install this nbn box (circled in yellow)?

the photo 2 is new place we are moving to, photo 3 is the neighbour.

also, photo 1 is from the website (https://www.nbnco.com.au/) my address is nbn available but on tpg website it only shows adsl available, is it because we haven't installed the nbn box (circled in yellow)?

at the moment we are living in a unit using tpg, is it possible to have new internet connected at the new place but also keep the internet connection at the current place so we won't get any interruption??

thanks

Hi @chengjianer

Thanks for your query!

Let me have a look for you, and I will get back to you ASAP.

There is also a new ''TPG Mobile APP'' to help you with various trouble shooting and account issues, via a mobile phone app.

Hi @chengjianer

It looks like you new house will be supplied NBN-FTTP. This is the best type and you will have a fibre optic cable to a box inside your home.

The box on your neighbours house is the BUILDING ENTRY POINT box, there will also be a 2nd internal NBN-NTD inside your house.

NBN CO is responsible for installing both units/boxes when they visit your house for the installation.

NBN installs/relocation can take 2-30 days. Your service will only be active at 1x address.

As you have extra equipment needing to be installed at your new house, it may be best to put the re-locations request in ASAP to get your new home ready, and live with any short term disruptions at your current address.

You may check the setup guide that we've created for NBN-FTTP here.

Hi there,

I have similar situation. I have a new house. Last week a NBN guy came to assess. He said there is no cable from internal to side of the house and asked me to call my electrician. Another NBN contractor came today and installed a small box and connected a cable from the side of the house to the pit. I contacted my electrician today and he said the installation of cable from side to internal of the house was done by TPG. He told me this is the practise for new house. All he needs to do is to setup a NBN internal preconduit (the red string thing as shown in the photo by @chengjianer).

So my question is, who should install the cable in the preconduit?

Hi @huisientay

Welcome to the Community!

We were able to locate your account using your community details and reviewed the order.

The NBN Co will be the one who'll send a technician to complete the installation of the needed cables or equipment.

We'll chase this with our NBN service delivery team and have a case manager call you tomorrow to discuss the next step.

Let us know if you need further assistance.
